ECOSS helps Ecoyards with spill prevention plan
One of the great things about doing business in Seattle is the wealth of resources available to help improve environmental practices. We recently worked with a consultant from ECOSS (Environmental Coalition of South Seattle) to enhance our spill prevention efforts.
ECOSS is a nonprofit organization that supports businesses and communities through education, technical assistance, and resources focused on environmental improvement. One of their key areas of expertise is stormwater pollution prevention. They offer free, confidential services and are a valuable resource for any business looking to operate more sustainably.
In partnership with Seattle Public Utilities and other organizations, ECOSS provides free emergency spill kits and spill contingency plans to local businesses. With their help, we developed a spill prevention plan and received free spill kits for our trucks and our warehouse near the Duwamish River in West Seattle. Each 6.5-gallon kit includes absorbent booms and pads, goggles, and other essential spill response materials.
We highly recommend ECOSS to other businesses in the area.
